Introduction to Pleated Blinds

Pleated BlindsPleated blinds are elegant, practical and offer unmatched versatility in a constant statement of style. A range of crisp fabrics are used for the creation of pleated blinds. Single cell light filtering blinds are usually made from honeycomb fabric that is durable and soft to touch. This blind is also made from high quality non woven fabric. All the fabrics used for making the pleated blinds stack easily. Pleated blinds come with a variety of lifting options. Wide and heavy, pleated blinds can be fitted with ultra lift systems. The Omni Rise Continuous Cord Loop system is an effective alternative for heavy or long pleated blinds. The blind is easily operated using the Omni clutch system. The top down/bottom up pleated blinds comes with two cord locks on either side of the blind to allow for operation in either direction. This feature makes these pleated blinds ideal for bedrooms and bathrooms that require privacy and natural light.

Stylish pleated blinds that allow for multiple operations on an apparently single blind are ideal for large window treatments. Pleated blinds look good only when they fit snugly into the window. Therefore, before ordering for pleated blinds, it is best that the windows are measured for size. Cordless blinds will have a mounting depth of 12mm and standard pleated blinds will have a mounting depth of 16mm.

Most custom designed pleated window blinds come with installation instructions. Raise and lower the blinds frequently to ensure that the pleats maintain their shape. The pleats in unused blinds tend to settle at the bottom making for fuller pleats at the bottom and flatter pleats at the top.
